I was very lucky to receive several pieces of wood from the main stage of the famous House of Blues in Hollywood, CA when it was demolished.
For twenty years, The House of Blues stage was host to countless artists. From the opening performance by Aerosmith in 1994, to the final act by Steel Panther in 2014, some of the more well-known performers to have graced this stage include: James Brown, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Alice Cooper, The Damned, Bo Diddley, Snoop Dogg, Aretha Franklin, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, GWAR, Etta James, Elton John, B.B. King, KISS, Lil Kim, Rihanna, Social Distortion, Britney Spears, Stevie Wonder, and ZZ top, just to name a few. On this stage in 2011, Prince played three shows in one night, and it was also where Tupac Shakur had his final recorded performance in 1996. The people who have "walked" on these pens is mind blowing!
I have a limited stock of this priceless wood, so most of the pens will be made by custom request.

Just like stabilizing wood, the dung is placed in a vacuum, the water removed, and then replaced with acrylic reins to form a hard, workable pen blank. The pen is actually darker in real-life, the camera flash really brings out the "grain" of the blank. The pen is adorned with stars on the end and tip, horseshoes ring the center band and a boot finishes off the clip to complete this Cowboy/Western motif. I actually asked the pen blank maker if he could "certify" the origins of this material, and his response was "You want me to certify a cow turd?" Priceless!
