High End Pens
I have left my "sold" pens on this page to give you an idea of what is available. If somethng catches your eye that is not currently available, please don't hesitate to ask if a similar one can be custom made.
Hand-Made Feather Pens
Each feather pen starts with a painted brass tube. Then, very much like tying fishing flys,
individual feathers are laid down one-by-one and held in place with fine string until the
desired pattern emerges. Next, everything is placed in a mold, and crystal clear acrylic
resin is poured over the tube and feathers and then placed in a vacuum to remove all air bubbles.
Once hardened, the ends are cut, and the pen is turned on a lathe much like the other pens
on this site, however, these are very delicate, so much more time and care are put in to the production
of these pens than usual. What emerges is a one-of-a-kind work of art that is truly unique.
These particular pen blanks are made in Canada from sustainable sources and legal hunting byproducts.
